Cake decorating is our expression! We strive to deliver a cake that is not only aesthetically pleasing and delicious but also evokes joy, curiosity, nostalgia, or simply happiness.

It all started with a small kitchen, a child experiencing severe allergies, and a mom with a passion to create micro-moments of joy. One moment where time would slow down, and we could be present with loved ones while sharing a slice of cake. Think, the simplicity of childhood brought back in a fleeting moment of time.

 

From the age of one, Lauren's son, Landon was diagnosed with allergies to egg, peanut, gluten, and dairy. This made getting the celebratory birthday cake a serious challenge. Lauren originally was a lover of boxed cakes and a student of Betty Crocker, making cakes for her friends and family as a hobby. With Landon's new found allergies she had to put her research hat on to find the perfect recipe that she could serve to her kids. After many recipe experiments and Pinterest fails, she finally found her way around baking from scratch and designing cakes that matched the theme of birthday parties!

Eventually, the cake designs were being requested by acquaintances and now Spoon Me Baking has been extended into the community with the help of baker extraordinaire Lance Jensen, in the form of a small business, serving the greater Denver area! Baking and decorating for others brings us so much joy, and we are honored to create these moments for others to enjoy as well!
